Deal Of The Day

The Deal Of The Day module allows the store admin specify products that are daily special offers with the option to show a countdown explaining how long before the offer expires.

Features

This mod has two methods of general use;

1. Categories Option
In this scenario the admin can specify different daily offers per category.

2. General Option
In this scenario the admin specifies a single daily offer that is generic for the whole store

The admin can define a global discount level or set specific discounts per product. This discounted price is display along with the product title and image in a special Deal Of The Day section on the front-end of the site.

The admin can choose whether to display a counter along with the product details that will show how long left the daily offer is valid for. The admin can also choose how long the offer should be valid for if a single day is not appropriate.

Each daily offer has an email subscription field that allows the customer to subscribe to future offers. This can be unsubscribed from either via a link in one of the notification emails, via the users profile or by the admin from a special unsubscribe section. If the Categories Option is enabled this subscription is category specific.

When using the Categories Option, the admin can also define whether a category should have a minimum amount of products before a daily offer is displayed.

Cron tasks can be set that will automatically generate a new product daily and send email notifications to any subscribed users. The admin is also able to general a new offer on demand or choose a particular product if required.
